When my Human got home from work on Friday, Niki couldn't stand, sit, or walk. All she could do was lay there. Of course this worried my Human, so she took Niki to the vet on Saturday. This was something of a challenge because even under the best of circumstances, Niki likes to bite. My Human first bought a muzzle and put it around Niki's snout. Then she wrapped her into a towel and got her into the car.
The vet examined Niki and gave them some Rimadyl. He also advised that Niki should have crate rest. (She was in my crate.) About 3 hours after taking the Rimadyl, Niki could sit up again. And 5 hours later, she could walk.
One other mishap happened...my Human was trying to take Niki out for a walk with the assistance of the towel and the muzzle slipped off. Now my Human has a nasty Niki bite on her left hand. She is now wishing that there was a human version of Rimadyl.

Strange. I have never heard of a Husky that bites before. When I was a puupy, I used to chew on human arms, but that was with lots of love and playfulness. They were not bite, although the humans may disagree.
One time people tried to put a muzzle on me, not because of the biting but because of all my talking (they called it "barking" -- they just had no idea). In two minutes flat, I was able to slip off the muzzle, and ate it. The leather was delicious.
Well, Niki was able to run her last Human with an iron tooth and paw. She's 13 and has only been with us for a couple months. She's set in her ways.
Some people just don't understand that we don't bark (except when we're mocking other dogs).
I've never eaten a muzzle, but Fargo once ate a leather leash. When it came back up, it left nice stains on the carpet.
Some Huskies that didn't have good puppyhoods bite. It's sad. It was sooooooooooooooooo good of your human to take poor Niki in and give her a good home for her last couple of years. It's terrible that some humans mistreat their dogs so that they develop problems like this, then they don't want them. Well, who else would with all of the problems that the owner helped them develop?
I'm glad Niki feels better. I hope your human went to the doctor, they can clean the bite and give something for the pain!
My Human went to the doctor today and now she's on an antibiotic. Her hand is really swollen.
I don't think that Niki had a bad home. She's just old and in pain and didn't want the Human to bother her.
Oh, that makes sense Tubey. Old dogs who are in pain may not want to be touched. Well, tell your human I send licks for her hand!
For some reason my Human isn't letting me lick her hand.
