Watch Dogs

Siberian huskies have the reputation of not being good watch dogs, but we are pretty good watch dogs. We love watching people and animals around our house. We also like watching TV, if the show meets up with our high standards.

A few days ago my Human was at home in the middle of the day and was lounging on the couch watching the "People's Court." This wasn't a show we were interested in watching, so we were outside watching a cat. (I need to explain that part of the property that we live on is used by an animal shelter to house their cats, and they had also released some feral ones. Those stupid cats won't come up and play with us, though.) So this volunteer who came out to look at the cats saw us talking to the cat and thought that there was something wrong with my Human. So she let herself onto the deck, and much to Meepie's displeasure she remembered to close the gate. My Human was very surprised that we hadn't said anything to let her know that there was a visitor on the deck. Fortunately my Human wasn't naked or anything stupid like that, but she was caught off guard to see another person.

We were all glad to see that volunteer, and I almost accidentally pulled off her pants!
