Husky Logo #32

Apparently, there is only one school in our state that was smart enough to get a husky as their mascot. And today I'm featuring it. Please welcome the Huskies of Ritenour High School!

Mud Husky

I was reminded today of a website that I found sometime ago. It describes the breed of Mud Husky.

A couple summers ago a Mud Husky named Kyus visited us. This is her picture on the left.

Baseball is Stupid!!!!

I was thinking about the fact that baseball is stupid! It's yet another sport that doesn't have any teams named after dogs!

So this year the stupid "World" Series is between stupid birds and stupid cats. Not much of a world if you think about it. What if there was really a sport with Tigers playing with Cardinals? I guess that the Cardinals would win 'cause they can fly away. Tigers can't fly!

I guess we're supposed to be cheering for the birds at our house 'cause they are more-or-less our local baseball team.

You can tell how excited Meepie and Roo Roo are. They can hardly contain their enthusiasm.

Humans get worked up about the stupidest things...

Center Pee'd

So my Human was having a bath bright and early this morning. And I pee'd on the outside of the tub. Not really sure why I did it, other than the obvious reason that it was there!

I don't have a picture of me peeing, but I do have a picture of me in the bathroom retrieving a toilet paper tube:

Excited

We are always excited when my Human gets home from her stupid job. We run in and out of the house. My Human lets us jump on the furniture. So for several minutes after her arrival, we have complete husky pandemonium at our house. It's so cool!!!







And then we rest for a while.

Oodles of Poodles

My Human has told a story a time or two about something that once happened with Lex at the dog park...

Once upon a time when there was just Lex and me, I took him for a walk at the dog park. When we got inside the dog park I noticed that there was about a dozen poodles running around. Lex didn't notice, however. He was too busy sniffing the ground. So all these poodles ran over to see what was so interesting. There were black poodles, white poodles, and apricot poodles in a circle around Lex. They were all Standard Poodles, but some of them were puppies. Lex finally looked up and noticed he was completely surrounded by curly coated dogs. He was pretty startled. The end.

Knowing Lex as I do, I have to assume that he started whining when he discovered he was surrounded by poodles. He whines a lot!

Behold the Husky of Houston Baptist University. I think that this is one of the cooler logos that I've found so far. The only thing that would make it better is if it was a red husky like me!

Humans are Stupid!

Let me start by shouting something: HUMANS ARE STUPID!!!!

My Human read about Meeshka's human woman putting a shirt on her when it was storming. This allegedly helps to calm dogs down in storms...or something stupid like that. So, my Human decided that I needed to wear a shirt. She thought that it might make me not yell at Lex that he was being stupid.

SHE WAS WRONG!!!

Okay, first of all the stupid t-shirt was ORANGE!!! This is NOT a good color for me!!!!!!!!! Then Lex laughed at me, so that ticked me off. And, yes, I still yelled at Lex that he was being stupid!

And my Human is being stupid, too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Turbochef

So last night my Human was watching TV. Nothing weird about that, of course. But she was watching some show that featured new kitchen things. My ears perked up when I heard the word "Turbochef." There's this company that has my name plus the word "chef" that makes ovens and things. Get this, they have an oven that can cook a 12 pound turkey in just 42 minutes!!!

I'd like some turkey, please. And by "please," I mean NOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday Update

It's rainy and not hot outside today. Inside, it's not rainy and a bit cool. It's good husky weather.

I still have not been able to ride (or drive) in the new huskymobile yet. My Human is not doing much of anything yet. She's still on-call for work, and she'll have to go to the office for a while this afternoon. She's wearing her sleepy pants (trademark Meeshka) and being lazy. I suggested that she could let me go out for a drive without her, but she turned me down!

Below is an actual picture of the new huskymobile. She needs to get a replacement for the sticker she had on the former huskymobile. It said DOG IS MY CO-PILOT.

Last weekend we where hanging out at home watching TV and we found a football game with a Husky team! So today I'm featuring the Northern Illinois University. I think this logo is cool. And the players on the football team were lucky enough to get to have it on their helmets.

My Human bought me a new Huskymobile today. But she hasn't let us in it yet! It's like the one in the photo below, but it is white.

Another thing that I found while playing around on the internet was this site with info on a Sibe named Ned who was used in in a University of Washington video.

Make sure that you watch the video. Roo Roo says that Ned was really cute, but that she could think of other things to do in the library.

Oracle

Some time ago while I was looking for stuff on the internet to discuss I came across a blog written by Mary Ann Davidson, the Chief Security Officer of Oracle. In the August 4, 2006 entry, she discusses her Siberian husky Thunder. She compares some her employees to various dog breeds. Of course she values her employees that most remind her of Siberian huskies.

Niki likes to do this weird little dance around me. My Human says that it's a minuet. She'll do it all the way around me, but if I try to play, she'll shriek. Fargo says that she likes me. Well, then why won't she rough house? She never grabs my neck like Roo Roo does!

Sometimes I think that Niki is a husky/Dyson hybrid. She'll eat our fluff sometimes if it's on the floor.

We used to have the comforter in this picture. But, true to form, Roo Roo chew chewed a hole right in the middle of it!

Roo Roo is really helpful for ensuring that the economy of the world continues to chug along.

As I've mentioned before, I'm not particularly destructive, but Roo makes up for my lack.

Ivy mentioned in her blog that it is Pumpkin Appreciation Month. I decided to post a photo that my Human took years ago in Wisconsin.

My Human has never brought a pumpkin home for me to smell. Maybe this is the year. She used to work with someone who lived on a pumpkin farm. She'd haul the pumpkins around in the back of her truck every October.

Even more years ago, my Human got a pattern to make a pumpkin look like a Siberian husky. She's never done that either.

Lost and found husky mystery baffles police

A PEDIGREE Siberian husky went missing from a Cranbourne house on Friday only to be found in Seaford on Sunday.

Police said the dog's disappearance was mysterious and the owners believed the dog had been stolen.

The grey and white pedigree dog, worth $1000, was chained and locked to the bumper bar of a car in the front yard of the Fairbairn Road property.

The chain was long enough to give it access to the front garden area.

Some time between 9am and 11am on Friday, the dog, called Sky, went missing - chain, lock and all.

Police said it would have been impossible for the dog to get itself free.

On Sunday the dog turned up in the front yard of another house in Seaford.

Police asked anyone who may know of suspicious circumstances surrounding the dog's disappearance to contact the officer in charge at Cranbourne Uniform on 5991 0600.

Okay, I think it's stupid that the humans chained the dog to the bumper of the car, but I'm not going to go into that. As we all know, what is impossible for a dog to get out of is NOT impossible for a husky to get out of! Obviously this Houdini Husky took off with the chain & lock. The humans are lucky that the husky didn't also take the car!

To summarize just about every blog: HUMANS ARE STUPID!!! I don't even think I need to give examples because Meeshka, Charlie, Dusty Doodles, and many, many others have excellent examples!

Switching gears...the stupid weather is supposed to get hotter again! It's probably gonna be over 90°F this week! I don't want that!!! I hope all the Kansas dogs are okay. I saw on the news that it was over 90°F yesterday!
