Ivy mentioned in her blog that it is Pumpkin Appreciation Month. I decided to post a photo that my Human took years ago in Wisconsin.
My Human has never brought a pumpkin home for me to smell. Maybe this is the year. She used to work with someone who lived on a pumpkin farm. She'd haul the pumpkins around in the back of her truck every October.
Even more years ago, my Human got a pattern to make a pumpkin look like a Siberian husky. She's never done that either.

Hey there Matey, that would make a lot of punkin pie. Tubes, you could earn an honorary spot in my Pirate Hall of Fame if you pillaged a punkin pie. Extra points for whipped cream.

My mom tried carvin' a husky punkin, but it didn't look as good as the one Harley and the grrrrls' mom did!

Pumpkins are kind of like butternut squash, aren't they? Sunshade has reported on her blog that she's had a terrible time with one of them.
Pie is a wonderful way to enjoy pumpkins, though--just tell your human and then, if you'd like, I can give you some pointers on how to get some for yourself (mostly you have to act entirely uninterested--that always lulls them into a false sense of security
